We are living in a time when deceit, manipulation, bullying, and spiritual abuse are rampant in the body of Christ. Leaders who should be living proof of God's transformative power are instead trapped in cycles of selfishness, ungodliness, backbiting, bewitchment, false power, and partnership with darkness. Instead of leading God’s people in truth and humility, many have become merchants of lies, selling illusions and enslaving souls.
Today, it is no longer strange to find false prophets behind pulpits, using the name of Jesus to work wonders — yet their fruits tell a different story. As Jesus Himself warned:
“See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.”
— Matthew 24:4-5 (ESV)
A Christendom in Crisis
What we are witnessing is heartbreaking: a Christendom where manipulation has become an art, selfish ambition is celebrated, and witchcraft operates under the camouflage of "prophetic ministries."
How did we get here?
The answer is simple but piercing — we have neglected the precious gift of discernment.
The Spirit of God gives discernment to every believer who asks, yet many have ignored it, preferring the dazzling display of "anointing" without testing the spirits (1 John 4:1). Many Christians today have replaced hunger for truth with an appetite for entertainment, and in doing so, have left themselves vulnerable to the wolves Jesus warned us about.
"And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold."
— Matthew 24:11-12 (ESV)
Living on a Divine Timeline
It is important to remember: we are not random beings wandering through history without purpose. As part of God's creation, we are living within a divine timeline — a story that has a clear beginning and a sure end.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
— Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
God wants us to understand the time we are living in. He doesn’t want us to be ignorant or naïve. He gave us signs. He gave us His Word. He gave us His Spirit.
Jesus told His disciples plainly about the signs of the end — not to scare them, but to prepare them.
Today, we must wake up and realize: these signs are no longer distant prophecies — they are unfolding right before our eyes.
The Rise of Counterfeit Power
The devil is a master of counterfeits. Where God moves in genuine power, Satan seeks to imitate, to deceive, and to enslave.
Many Christians, desperate for breakthroughs or miracles, are falling prey to these counterfeits, unable to discern the source behind the so-called "manifestations" they encounter.
But the Word of God is clear:
“By their fruits you shall know them.”
— Matthew 7:20 (KJV)
It doesn’t matter how loud the tongues, how spectacular the miracles, or how electrifying the "power" feels — if the fruit is manipulation, selfish gain, pride, or bondage, it is not from God.
A Call to Stand Firm
Now more than ever, we must be anchored to the Gospel — the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is not just a story of salvation; it is our instruction manual, our compass, our safeguard in a world spinning out of control.
"But the one who endures to the end will be saved."
— Matthew 24:13 (ESV)
Beloved, we are not called to chase after signs. We are not called to run after miracles. We are called to follow Jesus, to know His voice, to walk in holiness, and to stand firm.
The Hope We Carry
Even in the midst of chaos and deception, the Good News still shines brighter than ever: Jesus is Lord, and His Kingdom will prevail.
Though lawlessness abounds, the Kingdom of God is advancing. Though false prophets rise, the true Shepherd calls His sheep by name. Though many fall away, those who hold fast to Christ will endure to the end.
"And this Gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
— Matthew 24:14 (ESV)
Final Words: Stay Awake
Dear brothers and sisters, the heavens and the earth are moving toward their appointed end. We are part of God's timeline, not spectators but active participants.
The deception of our age is not just an attack against individuals — it is a direct assault against destiny, purpose, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
Don't be deceived.
Don't be manipulated.
Don't sell your soul for temporary signs.
Now is the time to cry out to God for discernment. Now is the time to cling to His Word. Now is the time to endure with your eyes fixed on Jesus.
