When God Created Time: A Divine Mystery Unveiled

By David Israel – Unveiling timeless truths through the lens of God’s Word, one revelation at a time.

Do you long for good news?
We certainly face enough heartbreak, chaos, and confusion in the world today. But God’s great love offers us more than temporary relief—it offers eternal truth. From the very first sentence of Scripture, we discover something breathtaking: God didn’t just step into time—He made it. And that changes everything.

The Meaning of Time

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”Genesis 1:1

This is not just an introduction—it is a declaration. “In the beginning” means there was a beginning, and that beginning had a divine origin. It didn’t just happen—God initiated it. Time began because God spoke.

This tells us something profound: God is not bound by time; He reigns above it. He is not part of the clock—He created the clock.

God is Not Measured by Time

We often measure life by seasons, calendars, and deadlines. But Scripture reminds us that God is not limited by our timeline. Moses understood this when he declared:

“The eternal God is your dwelling place…”Deuteronomy 33:27

Eternal means without beginning and without end. Moses heard this truth straight from God Himself when He introduced Himself at the burning bush:

“I AM WHO I AM… Tell them, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”Exodus 3:14

God didn’t say “I was” or “I will be”—He said “I AM.”
That means He is ever-present, fully aware of the past, the present, and the future—all at once.

God’s View of Time Is Not Like Ours

We panic when we feel time is running out. We stress about delays. But Peter reminds us:

“…With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”2 Peter 3:8

To us, time may feel like a storm. To God, it’s a clear sky. He sees the beginning, middle, and end all at once—and still, He walks with us in every moment.

God is not just the Author of time—He is the Master of timing.

Why This Matters for You

  • Are you waiting for a breakthrough?

  • Are you wondering if your season of delay has purpose?

  • Are you questioning God’s timing?

Then hear this: Time bows to God.
He is never late, never early—He’s always right on time.

God doesn’t need to rush. He’s not overwhelmed by deadlines. And when He speaks, what wasn’t there before suddenly appears—because He is the God of the now, and the Keeper of all time.

Final Thought

If you’re feeling like time is running out… remember this:
You serve the One who created it.
Before your clock ever started ticking, God already had a plan for your life—and His plans never fail.

Trust Him.
He holds your times in His hands (Psalm 31:15).
And His timing is always… perfect.
